Which supercharger do you have?
Yes they are, both centrifugal. But from my research and understanding is that one runs a bit higher boost than the other, the oil feed line is different between the two, and some other things too. so i'm just curious about which one is more popular among the crowd.
On this board it tends to run in Comptech's favor. The Vortech has a longer and more complicated install but IMHO it's worth the extra effort. The Vortech tends to be less expensive for the full setup. If you are serious about power then get the Vortech.
There are several of us in So. Cal running in the high 300 hp range.
Time for the Comptech owners to flame me.

high 300's !? that's impressive.
do you know if they are runninig on a stock motor? or a built motor with forged internals? any add ons in addition to the vortech?

i did this same poll a few months ago... and everyone tended to go to the comptech side.... but the blowers are made by the same company. so in essence they are the same.... the comptech one comes with that nice carbon fiber piece to cover the filter....

280hp NA will be all around better then 350hp top end s2k.

You will never see 280hp NA. You would be lucky and broke to see 240hp to the rear.
My bottom end is stock except for the changed out banjobolts. Head work lowered CR to 10.25 to 1. Others have stock blocks and heads. AEM EMS is the secret.

*sigh* It's sad to see such narrow minded individuals speak. Such sad people that have no vision, no facts, no imagination.
*sigh* Here we go again
It is possible to have a S2K put down 260 WHP thats right WHP in NA form. Assuming only 10% of power is lost in the drivetrain (Lowballing the figure I know) with 260whp, it would produce 288 - 289hp at the crank. *sigh* So a 280hp S2K is possible. Yes, you will spend a lot of money, but it is possible.
Yes this S2K does exsist, the Amuse S2K puts down 260WHP in NA form. Not to mention that it is extremely light, the car is lighting fast.
Check the S2K Vid thread for proof of how fast this car is. Check the NA Battle Vid.

Beandip & Young_R,
I built one of the strongest non-FI S2000s on the West Coast prior to FI. I know what it takes to get the hp. To say"no vision, no facts, no imagination" is living in denial. I've been there and done that. You will drop over $20,000 and still not see 260 or 280 rwhp.
Then you spend money on other things that don't make hp also, gears, wheels, tires, brakes, etc.
After FI my S is way beyond 350hp and a hell of a lot more fun than stock. Get a SC and play with the BIG boys.

sideways is a well-known respected member on the s2ki.com forums. Man knows his stuff and has a personal history in both NA and FI s2000's. Sorry to say but companies such as amuse are known to put out false claims to the public in order to draw intrest and $$$ from their potential customers...

Comments Noted. All I'm saying is that NA 280hp is possible, I never said WHP. Yes, I know it will take a butt load of money. I was trying to point out that a S/C is way more cost effective then NA.

Come on guys. Inline Pros 2.5lt stroker has made 241RWHP. That is a STOCK motor with the 2.5 bottom end. What do you think it will make with cams, EMS and a 3in exhaust. Before anyone says anything about the 3in exhaust, The car made 11 MORE rwhp with a open header. If you go to the s2k vid section and click on my s2k vid there are also vids of my friends 2.5lt s2k
