Default NA all the way...boost go away.

OK so i know what people are putting down as far as FI is concerned but im more interested in my NA family. Has anyone done any internal mods such as cams, cam gears etc. and what are your numbers. I know some sort of ECU programming is key also. Our piston to wall clearance is paper thin and im very hesitant to make any mods. Search = nothing.

You should really give http://www.s2ki.com a try. There is a ton of information there and a few guys that really know their stuff.

Search the forums there and I guarantee you come up with what you are looking for. But I don't think you're going to the like the answer you get.

well toda does make a kit, but be ready to fork out some serious cash. then you can go and have a crate motor from spoon, but really this is not a built motor persay. you can build this engine as you would a b-series, ie: sleeve and so forth build the head. Most dont purchase this car for that purpose because you can build a b-series in a type r or whatever shell you'd like. people buy s2000's because of the car itself, the engine is awesome stock with very little need to modify it.
again just my .02

also check out

http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com they have a good selection of s2000 engine mod's

with $$$, you can do anything. You'll lose practicality as you raise the limits.

ok.. go for the inline pro 2.5L stroker kit... a guy in my area has it.. and it's freekin quick.... the torque curve is awesome..... he's pushing 240+ to the wheels with only the stroker kit on it... so add that with an aem ems, I/H/E and you'll be up there..

aight coo thanks for the info. I know about S2ki, but thanks. I know where to get the stuff im just wondering if anyone on here has done anything along those lines. Im always seeing turbo S's, those dont really impress me cause its a damn Turbo or supercharger. I guess its all about the practicallity. Toda, Skunk2 etc. but has anyone bought some and what are your impressions. I searched on S2ki but everytime i do their unsearchable search engine throws a script error.

also look at the biggest difference in the torque curve... 136 ft/lbs all the way up to 181 ft/lbs.. which is a huge increase....

well he's planning to take it up to 9000rpm...... he's getting aem ems to fine tune everything i believe.... so once he gets that.. he should be able to rev it up to 9000rpm again..

The cars power falls off rapidly. Reving to 9k introduces 2 problems: Longevity and purpose.

If the car had cams and cam timing could be adjusted to encourage scavenging then it would probably make the power all the way. The engine is pretty clearly choking in the upper RPM's. Hopefully the valve seats were cut accordingly to leave room for larger cams. BTW, that's a lot of smoothing on the dyno to still be so jumpy from 7700rpm-8200.

If you're looking for a full N/A build up there's a lot to be done.

it's a big deal when a simple stoker kit adds close to 50 ft/lbs.... if you dont' understand.. the s2000 is a very hard car to modify...

Installing a roots supercharger would give you the power your looking for.. The comtech centrifcle blower is a bunch of junk.. The roots blower they make for the NSX now thats a different story..

Wow, I would not tell people that you have a V8 and a S/C and ONLY make 400rwhp. You should do some looking around before you talk about stuff you dont know about. Show me one place that makes a roots S/C for a s2k. No one does, do you know why? Didnt think so. Oh toolman, Iam not a hater but 400rwhp is nothing special at all. Lets see, 4.7lt v8 + S/C= 400whp. 2.0lt 4cly + turbo+bad headgasket+2 bad pistons= 430rwhp. Hey, Its just a thought

sorry dude.. stop talking... just as blkturbos2k has said.. there is no roots type blower for an s2000.. .and why are you talking about the nsx... we are talking about s2000's.. not nsx's...... besides... a centrifugal blower is pretty much a turbo that doesn't work off the exhaust gasses.....

so seriously.. go back to your civic corner or your mustang corner cuase you dont' seem to know what you're talking about...
