the other day i noticed a clicking noise in the steering column when turning the wheel, only when the wheel is like at 1/3 of a turn, in either direction. i'm not sure what it is, but if i put my hand on the plastic that covers the column then i can feel it clicking any suggestions?

 

Take off the cover and start looking around.

You sure its the wheel itself or is it only while your driving?

 

Mine does the same, only when I drive. Any help on this would be great.

 

could be your cv joint. but you said it's at the steering column, so i'd do what Luserkid said.

Yeah, mine only makes the sound when I'm moving.

 

Mines doing it too and its a bad steering rack end bushing, and the backlash on the gears are too big. I fixed the bushings but the backlash i think cannot be adjsuted.

LOL, found out that mine is just my key rattling against my ignition. It rattles b/c my front wheel bearings are bad and they cause a vibration in the front of the car when I slightly turn the wheel.
