Clear bumper/directional light install ??'s
You guys were a lot of help with the clear corners last weekend. This weekend its the clear front bumper directional install.
Car: 97 Accord EX.
What is the best way to get at that sucker???
Can't even see how it is secured.
Also,,, are amber bulbs available for the front directional from anyone?? If anyone knows a PN and vendor ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

hehe i see you're upgrading your car one light at a time
anyway the bumper lenses are more of a bitch to take out than corners.. u'll need a looong, preferably thin philips screwdriver (about a foot in length from handle to tip). It helps if u have a flash light too. Looking from front of the bumper, you will see holes on the air dam that is ajacent to the bumper lenses (for the left lens, hole is on its right side; right lens left side). Stick that screwdriver in the hole, and you got to feel the screw w/ ur screwdriver before you can take it off. If you have a small enough hand you can go around the bumper with your right hand and feel the back of the lense.
Just thought u might need this for next week: The back bumper lenses: take out the screw holding it in and pop it right out.

he he he,,,,,,,,,, yea,,,,, maybe I will do the backs someday. I will have to buy them first. I bought the corners and front bumpers together,,, the corners were a toad to get out,,,,,,, I broke every pin on both of the stock assemblies. But by the time I finished everything else last weekend I was cold and tired and did not feel like messing with the bumper lenses.
Guess I need to go to Ho Depot and get a long screwdriver though. Thanks fo the tip !!
How do you get that little ba$tard screw back in ??

But when it comes to the most basic question, he does a search and still can't find anything. "Look at me, I'm so helpless! What kind of motor fits in a Civic?"

Dude, I've met people that drive sports cars and don't know how to change a tire. I'd rather teach them than be a dick, you know?

In any case that is what will make it a useful place for people to come to and ask and answer questions.

Proud to say that I am the only milf that I know of in Milford.
And,,,, I am sure that you all will be very pleased to hear that thanks to your support and help that the clear bumpers went right in, no problem. Cleaned up the harness ends as they were coated with grimey road slime,,,, put on fresh electrical tape,,, took a spin to heat up the engine,,,,,,,, and the oil is draining as I write this.
Now I just sit back and wait to get pulled over for not having any amber lighting in the front. (I have the bulbs,,,,,,, to lazy to put them in.)
