Default Anyway to tighten doors?

Weird question maybe but is there any way to tighten my Civic's doors so they don't make so much noise when i hit bumps?

Seriously my car sounds like crap when going over bumps, most of the noise seems to be coming from the doors. I also have this weird noise coming from the back that sounds like its either the trunk or the rear seat squeaking over bums. Any ideas how to quiet down the noisy 11yr old car?

You sure its your doors and body and not suspension? Honestly it sounds like suspension. Walk around your car and push on each corner and see which sides squeek.

Unless if its not a squeeking sound and its something else, is it something else? Like a chatter?

Although my car could definately use new suspension I don't hear any noise when pushing down on the car. I've tried that to find the noise. Pretty much sounds like theres a lot of loose **** in my car

Do you have little nesses and newphews (sp?) or little bros and sis? This is going to sound weird but put a towel on the back bumper and front bumper and have them jump on it, be inside the car. While there having there fun look around for the noise. After thats all and done wash your car

what that does is reinact going over bumps (persay) Another thing you could do is have a friend drive and you in the back seat and what not.

Before you could fix the problem you need to know where its coming from.

lol Sorry, no nieces, nephews or friendly midgets.

Edit: I swear I read someone reducing noise in their car by doing something to their doors. Something about tightening something. This was a long time ago though.

Ok if you really want to tighten your doors like you want (this is what i have to do with my truck because its a rattle can).

Get a jack and a towl, and have the door open, put the towel on the jack and jack the jack up to barely touching the door.

Then take it off the hinges and play with the screws til you think its right, try closing and play again. It sucks because its a hit or miss and if you miss you could be spending the whole day fixing. And that is why my truck is still a rattle can, that and im to lazy

What kind of noise? I found one of my doors full of broken glass when it must have been shattered and replaced by a previous owner without them cleaning up all the glass.
