Does anyone use royal purple trans fluid?How does it work-does it smooth out the shifts?Whats the name of the one to use?

yea i did but there isnt any in the rsx forum.I jus want to know if anyone used royal purple mt fluid in 03 type-s and there opinions on it.

 

just stick with Honda MTF.

itr's OK, I have it in my EG, I prefer the GM stuff, or Honda MTF.

Stick with Honda transmission fluid. The other brands made my gears grind. There is an agent in Honda MTF that assists the synchrons. After changing to the Honda MTF, all my problems went away. Smooth shifting all-the-way.

In addition, I heard from a Honda mechanic that there is a problem with the Acura RSX tranny that cause the gear to grind when up shifting. If you still have warranty, bring the damn car back. Other than this, others have found that GM synchron assist tranny fluid helps a lot.
