does the car make good power or does it fell like it has a miss. i remember a car i had jumped timing and bent to intake valves. the car started and ran but it sounded like it had a miss at idle. that could cause the rough idle your getting.
is this a dohc b16a?
if so you probably bent your valves, b16a's are interferance motors, and 2 teeth is probably like 5 degrees advance wich is bad.
im guessing this is dohc since u said, intake side!

If you do a leakdown or compression test you're compression results might be a little silly if you don't fix the t-belt first. Once you fix it go ahead and test it. Good luck.
ok well since th car was in the mechanics hands when they broke it dont they have to fix it themselves? also they did set the belt back but that is it. so would they or wont they have to fix it free? anyone know?
well I'm sure they don't want to but if you find a good lawyer they might have to.... it all depends on what you signed when they gave the car back to you... all legal stuff... but I could be wrong...
