95 Civic Amber Clock - Want To Have It Off When Key Is Not In
I was wondering if anybody has found a simple way to have their clcok in their 95 Civic turn off when the keys not inserted. I wanna find a simple way since when my civic has been sitting for 2-3 weeks the battery is dead and needs to get jump started. Ive searched this and havent found anything. Thanks for any help.

That was my thought as well.

Do you know what I should look for then. Its always been on now for all these years as for as I know. Thanks again for the help. Still learning a bit about my new civic since my dad just gave it to me.
Are you the original owner of the car? From the looks of it, probably not. What you're going to have to do is move the trim panel for the gauge cluster. There's a write around here to tell you the specifics and I can't seem to remember the exact details as to how to do it. Once you do get the trim panel off, check to see if the clock is plugged into a harness/clip. It should be if it is. Otherwise, it's probably hooked up to a constant lead and I'm assuming possible the the constant lead on the stereo head unit. What model of civic is it? EXs came stock with clocks and maybe the Si's did as well. The others to the best of my knowledge didn't. All civics came prewired for the clock so if it didn't have one, all you had to do was get a clock and hook it up to the harness plug in the dash.
Hey, thanks for all the help. The cars a DX Sedan and I believe that my dad was the original owner of it off the dealership.
Ill try to get work on it and remove the panel. I already read about taking it off. There should be a screw under the Emergency Lights button and two more on the underside of the top dash part near the steering wheel.
If its hooked up to that constant lead for the stereo how do I take that off? Is it just a plug too or is it soldered on? Thanks for all the information.

Oh okay, forgot to mention that sedans came equipped with the clock option. When you do pull the trim panel out, just look in the back of the clock and see if it's plugged in. You'll know if it looks stock or modded
