if your going to get it dyno tuned and burn custom maps then use the p72, but if your just going to leave it alone use the p13.

Using a P28 here, my buterflies are removed. No problems, but then again, I have a Hondata. The car originally had a P13, and ran just fine, I just prefer to limit my electronics and only tune the ECU and not numerous other items. Hondata did not have a kit for the P13, and the P72 was too expensive.
In the end, it is up to what you intend to do with the car...

Why did you remove your IABs when your hondata can control them?

Hondata can control them if I have an ECU that recognizes them, like the P72, but instead I have the P28. I mainly removed them to make a little more power up top, and with such a big turbo, wanted the lack of power down low to the car can get settled between shifts and off the line before the boost gets crazy.

Yes, if you are running a turbo, it is good to remove them.

Good link, did not know the port had the ability to control that. Guess it should have been a no brainer...
Either way, they are gone now.

A P13 ecu is the way to go on a stock motor. If you are going to tune it via Hondata, a P13 ecu will not work with Hondata, so a P72 or P28, etc. is needed.

p72 lacks egr, as does p28...but, p28 lacks a knock sensor as well...p13 has both of these features, but keep in mind the p72 and p28 both require customization to work (correctly) with the h22...

p13 - stock or going to use a VAFC
p72 - w/ hondata and you want to keep the butterflies
p28 - w/ hondata if you have could care less about the butterflies
