why wouldn't a B16A2 AC bracket work in an EK?
did a search and everyone is saying that you should use either a P54 or a CRV AC bracket if you want AC with a B-series swap.
if i get EVERY little AC component from a 99-00 SI, why wouldn't i be able to use their AC bracket? my car didn't come with AC so i'm swaping everything from an SI. no d-series AC parts.
btw, this is for a LS in a 00 hatch.

there were three different casts of the b16, del sol, civic si and the jdm version. Mine took a del sol. but that was a 93 civic with a jdm motor.

the reason, if im not mistaken, is because most people, who swap, are using the Dseries compressor. The p54 or crv bracket connects to it and the Bseries engine.
If youre going to use an em1 AC setup, then the bracket off the same car would be the right choice.

so if i'm using the b-series compressor, then the 99-00 si bracket would be fine, right? would the p54 bracket fit the b-series compressor? or any other bracket fit the bseries compressor?

but only with b-series compressor, right? NOT d-series?

yea if you want to use the stock ac compressor you have to use the del sol p54 bracket.
other ones wont work unless you modify it. they will only fit the b series ac compressor.
the way the d series and b series lines on the ac compressor mounts they dont fit the same.

i used a gsr ac bracket with a d-series compressor(sp). 2 out of the 4 bolts will line up, and it the 2 bolt on the outside (right side), since my dad was a welder he drilled and welded the other 2 to line back up again, the reason why we did this, is before i got my car my ac was busted, and we bought a brand new ac compressor for my dx motor and did not think that i would do a motor swap so soon, i bought that sucker brand new from honda which was like 400-500 for it so i didnt want to waste it....hopefully everyone understand what i said heheh...i think inlinefour has a bracket adaptor for little over 100 i cant remeber but check it out....

if you want to use a d series compressor you have to use a p54 unless you want to mod the other ones with the link i put up,
actually thinking about it if you got all the ac stuff off an 99-00 si which has a b16 it might work...using the integra ac mount...i dunno never worked on an si so im not sure
