Default Analyze this electrical problems with my car

Ok just to give some background about my car it is a 2000 gsr with about 25k original miles on it. The car is CLEAN and I would feel comfrontable eating off the engine bay . I installed and aftermarket radio with four interior speakers and a sub/amp combo. I installed a viper alarm as well. Everything has been working for the last two years with no problems. Until a few weeks ago.......

Im driving down the street at 15mph and my doors unlock automatically as if I just shut off the engine. I look at my gauge cluster and the CEL is on and the BATTERY light is on. I think o **** my car turned off so I step on the clutch. My door automatically lock up, the CEL and the battery light turn off and my car continues on like nothing happened. WTF? I thought nothing of it until I told my mom and she started fliiping out saying I have a short somewhere in my electrical system. Any thoughts? The car has not done anything funny since then. This happened at night and the entire ordeal probably took under 5 seconds. I did notice that my headlights were bright the entire time.

1. Do I have a short somewhere?
2. If I was driving at 60mph and the car shut off while it was in gear wouldnt there be extensive damage since manual cars have to roll in neutral when the engine is off?

Help My baby is too young to die

Look under your dash where the clutch moves back and forth. Make sure there are no wires touching the assembly.

Did you wire anything to your clutch switch when you installed the alarm?

no wires. nothing wired to the clutch switch. The alarm has been great for 2+ years. I think if I wired something wrong on my stereo my fuse would have blown. When this happened the radio died and the antenna started to go down, but it happened so fast the antenna didnt even make it all the way down before everything started working normally and it came back up.

Thanks for the suggestions becuase I am confused. I would take it to acura but I think they would just place the problem on my alarm or stero install.

gaaawwwwd damn. Looks like I have to go to acura. Thanks a lot. The problem was so specific I did not think to search for it. I dont think it would be the distributor, timing belt, or altenator because the car is like new. So maybe I have a fauly altenator. We already went to honda to have the altenator replaced on the rsx. Damn thing just dies on the street. Thanks for the help
