What are the two sets of numbers for? What were you expecting? From what I could tell 143 ft lbs of torque is not that bad.

He has one set of curves at 143, then a second straight "curve" at 113. I didn't know what that curve was.

Why'd you double post this thread? That's stupid

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1088973

should have left it there and not started a new one.

Does your car idle, did you do a compression check, do you have bent valves, a burnt valve, washed rings, etc...

Are you completly sure the mechanic knew it was vtec. Take an oil pressure gauge and hook it up to the allen screw bolt that is on the front of the head , infront of the vtec solinoid. The gauge won't read until vtec pops then the gauge jumps and shows oil pressure.

thats wierd..your power curve looks pretty smooth, but where the hell is your power at? You definately should be in teh 175+ range with that set up! anyway you can get new plugs and wires and go test again?

and whats up with the jumps in your torque curve?

they dyno is not supposed to be recording when your shifting.....it shouldve been smooth across....it should be done in 3rd gear...once they pin the throttle in 3rd gear, thats when all the recording should be done. please correct me if am i wrong?

BOSCH plugs blow ***, number 1
Number 5 heatrange is way too cold, number 2
Install NGKs
and make sure vtec is engaging

-s

and a 52 gap is a lot bigger than i would but the main problem is the plug and the heat range

i was getting the stock heating range for those plugs off bosch's website i changed the plugs on friday and it does not break up @ high engine speeds anymore but i am not sure if vtec is engaging i wired a light 2 a4 on the wiring harness and i am testing functionality of vtec in the morning provided its not icy outside . I am going to take a picture of the vtec solenoid so u can see the wiring and tell me what u think

If Vtec engaged, you'd know it. It's not something to guess or assume happened. My LsVtec was not properly wired up for about 3 months after I had it built which kept Vtec from engaging. I had wondered if Vtec had engaged but I really did not notice it, but I was wrong all along. I rewired the Vtec solenoid and pressure switch and BAM...there it was. It's nearly impossible to not notice Vtec when it engages unless the crossover is tuned to be extremely subtle.

Check the wires, rewiring if necessary, and try it again.
