Exhaust Question
I recently tried installing my exhaust but the bolts connecting the b-pipe? to the cat were rusted. I took it into midas and even they couldn't get them off. They said the bolts were rusted and seized and my only option now was to get a new cat. They told me that no aftermarket cats are available(even though I see some of you getting carsound cats?)?
So I was wondering if this is the only choice I have is to get the new cat. If so what cat would i need to go from a stock header to a RS*R exhaust for a GSR.

have you tried soaking the bolts with an anti-seize compound or WD-40 overnight? at first my cat bolts were stuck on, i couldnt get it to budge even with an 18" breaker bar.. i didnt wanna break any bolts.. so i had the car up on jackstands overnight and soaked it.. the next day the cat nuts broke free...
I would try soaking them first. If that doesn't work take it to some other muffler shop it is willing to help you. I had that this problem once on other car of mine. The muffler shop just welded an extention between the cat and b-pipe.
If you do plan on replacing the cat, contact Dave at SMSP and he will be able to make you a Carsound cat for your application. It will flow substantially better than your stock one.
