Default wrecked my civic today

im not totally sure on the damage to my 93 si hatch, but i rear ended someone today and one corner is pretty messed up.. the car is totalled for sure. but im wondering how hard it is to make this a dedicated track car. as long as the shock towers are ok i should be fine right? it was just a thought i had afterwards that i could make a little autocross car, since there are no tracks that close. if the front is messed up too much are there many tube framed cars that auto-x or road race? sorry if this sounds newbiesh.. im a drag racer hehe. but my thoughts are just a good cage that ties into the shock towers, or maybe if i have to custom shock towers.

Unless you REALLY love working on cars, buy a used racecar! It's cheaper, and you'll have a car that wasn't wrecked, and has the racing bugs worked out.

Is your frame straight?

well i wrecked it like 2 hours ago.. im assuming it is.. it looks like it just bent the rad support, and right where the left headlight attaches down. the reason i wanna do this is because i pretty much have a useless car. if i dont make it a racecar im selling it. and yes, i do love working on cars been building a drag car for a year.

Too bad you are so far away. I would buy it & do the repair without any qualms. My current race car required a new radiator support & some frame rail too. It didn't make it to the shock towers so it was all good!!

Things you have to remember is that, when it is a track car, it won't be & doesn't need to be pristine.
