Default Clutch considerations for road racing?

After a year of running a turbo with an Exedy Organic Racing clutch, I have finally managed to kill it... it never slipped on me at all; it appears that the pressure plate is what failed (trouble with shifts above 4000 rpm; a good mechanic I know says it may be hot spots on the pressure plate). So now it's time for something new...

The problem I'm running into is that most of the clutches intended for my power level are targeted at the drag racers, and I'll be road racing this car more than anything else. Would I be correct to assume that I want a good pressure plate with a smooth street type disc (as opposed to a harsh 4 or 6 puck)? Any thoughts on the Clutchmasters FX300 (segmented Kevlar disc)?

Thanks

I used the exedy ceramic 3 puck in my B18C before. IT work great, and still running.

ive tried that clutchmaster, and the pressure plate is surprisingly light, i felt that it was acutually lighter effort than stock

Yeah, but boost is a whole nother story and he already tried one of those. I don't think you need any type of unsprung gnarly material "puk" style clutch.

Look into an ACT XTSS. I've known WAY to many boosted guys have great luck with these drag racing and road racing a moderate boosted car (under 350whp) with these clutches. If you are up above that Tilton might have something worth looking into.
