Default D SERIES MOTOR???

I was wondering if anyone could steer me in the right direction on finding performance parts for my 89 civic. The car has an intake, exhaust, msd ignition, homemade ram air, and a stage 2 clutch. The car runs great but of course I am looking for more power. I am thinking head and cam change but dont want to loose to much reliability. I would change the whole motor but I am stationed over here in Germany and they want an arm and a leg for parts. For right now I am gong to just work on this one. I know it is the single cam motor and it has B15D1 on the block, I am new to the honda thing but I love this car and it is pretty fast already. Anything you guys can help with would be great!

I think you mean d15b1 not b15d1..And it has dpfi--2 injectors
That motor is slow *** **** no matter what you do without converting to mpfi..
Convert to mpfi(4 injectors)atleast to take advantage of all those parts you put on.

you need to do the wiring for MPFI and get an ecu from a 88-91 SI (I think a PM6 model should do) and you might need a throttle cable too... it depends on what car you have, but heres a good tutorial:

Okay, so you're from Texas, but stationed in Germany right now?
So what happens to the car when you get reassigned? If you have to sell it in a year, I'll tell you right now, don't waste money modifying it because the modifications won't increase the cars value.
If you're already in Germany, why not keep an eye out for a nice B16 CRX? Then see what it takes to ship the car with you on the next assignment. There are a few guys that have gotten EDM CRXs imported through the military loophole.

You need to rewire your stock harness to MPFI, you'll need inj. clips and a resistor box. You also need an ECU - PM6 or PM7 and a 88-91 Si or HF distributor. But aside from that it's all direct bolt on as far as the parts go. Best mod you can do to a DPFI

Default Head and cam change

If I get the chance I will definately do it Davens way, but for now how about swapping in a Head and I could buy a new cam for it, cna you guys help me with finding out whats a good direct swap? Also a street cam would be good but which one, and where is a good place to find one, I am looking to get as much horsepower without losing the reliability.. There are mad junkyards around here I could get a head but I am not sure which engines are swaps. thanks

Yeah, I guess I am a noob to Hondas, but I know horsepower. I have been here in germany for a little while and can build some stuff. I currently have a 99 R-1 with many mods that I have done myself and SMOKE Germans in their twin turbo porsches, I also have a 66 Camino that I found in a German junkyard 2 years ago that is currently running over 419 dynoed horsepower, I am a motorhead that has found something sweet in the interchangability of the Honda. Any positive knowledge you guys and gals can pass on that can help me make this motor better would be greatly appriciated. We do not have that many resorces here in Germany, and on a soldiers budget, motor knowledge is GOLD!!!!
