Default H22 Port/Polish Question & Concern

I'm talking to someone who's selling his unused H22 Head that's supposedly been ported & polished by a place called Hazidous Racing about a year ago and would like to know if anyone from Honda-Tech has dealt or have experience with them.

I did several searches and found nothing.

Also, any suggestions if I should go for the head or not?

If I do get the head, what should/could I do to check the actual quality of the port & polish job?

Thanks,

Darwin

Appreciate any and all feedback.

By the way, if I do buy it...It's definitely not for the price that's shown on the receipt.

Thanks!

I didn't get pictures of the ports itself....I'm waiting to get those and will post them as soon as I get them.

Thanks,

Darwin

well you can tell on the valves, they look nitrided, or maybe thats just the stock ones but blackened from usage.....

definately get pics of the ports, and when you get it, get a stock gasket and put it up to the ports, see what difference there is, b/c thats the only way of knowing exactly

oh and you said "about a year ago"

the date on the receipt is 11/9/2002

thats more than 2 years.....

also you should find how much they took off when they resurfaced the head, that could mess up compression/valve clearance/timing belt issues......

definitely find the shop before you buy!

I think there's some lying going on with that dude. The receipt looks fake to me. Notice how there is no address etc. Also, the word hazidous doesn't get any hits in google except in reference to people mispelling hazardous.

Thanks to all you guys that responded...I definitely feel that something fishy is going on. What made me more curious is the fact that the guy had no clue of the specs/tolerances of the job that was done on the head.

Pm'd Poison....

Thanks so much for your advise....

However, because the person selling the head couldn't or wouldn't(I'm not really sure which) provide any information about the shop other than they are located in California nor can he provide the specs for the p&p that was doen to the head I decided not to close the deal.

Actually, another reason why I couldn't close the deal is because my daily driver '01 integra was broken into sometime between Fri & Sat night and was attempted to be hot-wired/stolen(Glass was shattered - Alarm messed with).

Fortunately, the perps didn't get anything out of the car. Instead, from what I can tell, their plan had been foiled because they actually left in a hurry and in the process left some tools behind.

Anyway, sorry to get off subject.

In any case, thanks again and happy holidays to you & your family.

Regards,
