There is a weird growling noise coming from the intake when the car is idling. It seems like even when the car is at neutral, the throttle body is still open and air is being sucked in the intake. I am using Icmean intake with HKS power flow, the noise gets pretty loud and annoying.

The growling doesnt come on when the car is cold, only after driven for a while then it comes on randomly at idle. Its very loud and wouldnt go away unless i rev up the engine.

Secondly, my car has triggered a CEL with code 17. This refers to the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). However, my speedometer and tach works fine without any problems. Do these problems relate to each other??

 

Would the speed sensor affect the intake the way I described?
