I have a 1990 accord and i have trouble starting it. When it starts, there is a grinding noise coming from the distrubitor. If I put the car in Drive, then the car dies.

I checked the CEL n it gave 1 long 7 short and then another 4 short. There is also a really loud grindning noise coming from the distrubitor .

Also the green S on the instrument blinked 1, 2, 4, 7, and 8 times all 5 codes were separated by a pause.

you should look in the basic accord guide, there is a list of ecu codes

And no need for a poll

 

I'm sorry that I placed a poll...I have no idea how that showed up. Will a VSS a speed sensor cause my car to have trouble starting up and when put in gear, die?
