How to protect carbon fiber??

How do I protect carbon fiber??
So I put my cf hood on about less than 3 weeks ago and there are already these nicks onthe fron and up near the windshield. Is that anything I can use, other than hard wax, to protect my cf hood from getting messed up? Like sealant sheets or something like what you can use for front ends? Or would it just look retarded on a cf hood?
