Default question about 98 prelude

Hi, can anyone tell me how to take off my shift **** on my 5th gen manual prelude??? I tried unscrewing it but it didn't move, I don't want to put any pressure unless im sure..

Just yank the boot (chrome ring) down south with some force. It's held on buy a locking snap tab thing. After that, just unscrew it by turning it to the left.

If you're still unsuccessful, I suggest you asked a MAN to help you.
