Bad Idle WHy ???
Ok first off i have a 2000 Civic Ex D16Y8 vtec i/h/e AEM Pulleys chip
sometimes my car's isle will dropp very low and my volts will drop down just under 12 V. It will even do this in the day time when i have no lights on. Could this be the IDCV or a maybe a bad voltage regulator or a loose wire for the Alt or IACV maybe? Remember it only does this sometimes not all of the time. I would maybe suspect my volts to drop down to 12 at night with the underdrive pulley and all but the idle has me all confused.
I have no big stereo system either.
i did check hte IACV bydisconnecting it and the idle rose up way high like haynes said it should if it is working properly.
i don't remember it doing this the intire time i had the pulleys on either. Any help would be much a appreciated. thanks!!!

i have teh same situation as you and i don't really know what to do put check your IACv to see if its dirty clean it out and maybe its teh bad alternator i haven't checks these out yet but i think tahts the problem
i mean pulley or no pulley it shouldn't idle like that i wouldn't think. unless the lower voltage is draining the ignition and the whole electrical system. But it would still run off hte battery at that point making it stay at 12V

yup. the altenator pulley is probably underdriving it.
