What is the best transmission for a turboed b-series motor. long gears or short gears?

This question has been answered dozens of times.

Go back to Grade 10 physics, I'm pretty sure they went over it. Shorter gearing gives you a better mechanical advantage, which provides quicker acceleration, period. For a straight up LS motor that isn't going to make power past about 7000 I would run the LS transmission since you do not have a lot of RPM's to play with. On any of the VTEC motors which will make power to 8500 and beyond, the GSR or B16/ITR transmission works much much better.

Depends on what you want to do.

I like the ITR trans for the strip, it has short gears that keep the motor in the sweet spot the whole time.
