One thing that turns me away from the RSX is the torque. I wish they've made it more. Just want to know if there's anyway to get more without using turbo. Do they even make chips for these?
there are several things you can do. first i recommend and injen cai. next, hondata's ecu flash #4. if you are computer/tuner savvy you can get k-pro but that's too complicated for me. after that a race header and exhaust.
injen cai - $220ish
hondata ecu reflash #4 - $600
race header - $300-$2000
exhaust-$500 - $1000
i think you can obtain peak gains of almost 30 whp and 20-25 lb. ft of torque.
do some research on these items.

yeah buy it and drop a K24 in it lol if you want a high torque motor you are in the wrong brand my friend. my 197k MX6 has better torque than an RSX
Yea what you want to do is get a 2001 ws6 trans am. They are about the same price and you can find them with low miles. They will give you some torque. They run like 13's stock. They are badass.
higher compression pistons wont give you more "torque" but it will give you beter throttle response and develop your power a bit quicker. of course at that point youd have to pull the motor apart and you may as wel install a turbo at that point lol seriously tho dont spend a lot of money trying to get more torque out of a motor that has 140ft/lbs @ 6k .... wow im surprised i remembered that figure from 3 yrs ago when i was trying to buy one with no credit and a couple grand down. sucks cuz now i could walk into any Acura dealer and leave with the thing in an hour

With a cai, comptech RH and exhaust, and k-pro I made 151ft.lbs. at 5100rpm. So assume 15% drivetrain loss and that's 177ft.lbs at the crank@5100rpm vs 142ft.lbs @6000rpm for the stock s.
It definitely feels a whole lot more responsive than a stock rsx-s. It will even spin my MX's in 2nd gear for a little ways if I'm rolling about 40 and nail it
