high idle after lsvtec swap
i have a 88 crx si with a ctr lsvtec. it idles at 2k when it warms up it drops to about 1500-1700 rpms. i have tryed to search it but no luck. can anybody help me?

Seems your idle speed is too high. Once the car warms up, disconnect the iacv plug, set your idle, and then reset the ecu. Also check for vacuum leaks with carb cleaner. The higher idle is normal when coolant temperature is low. Idle will decrease as coolant temp increases.
If you have some time on your hands clean the iacv and check your fitv

werd, where the cars an 88 chances are theres grit n grime in both of those valves, or the lil white plastic screw in the ficv (the one under the throttle body), needs to be snapped back in....
or the screen in the iacv (back of IM) is all dirty....my advice, take it off, fill it with super clean or junk or carb cleaner, let it sit, repeat til all the black shates out, rinse her out, n give her hell.
