I was told before that all B series vtec oilpan gaskets are the same so Im assuming the pan is the same. Again, I am only ASSUMING THIS.

you'll also need the gsr oil pick up and possibly the baffle.

ALL B-series oil pan bolt up.
Even LS ones will bolt up to b16 and GSR's.
Don't need nothing but the pan itself (+gasket) to make them fit.

I was under the impression that the b18c's (not sure about b16's) had a deeper pan than the LS motors. Along with the deeper pickup (reason for the deeper pan). But they have the same bolt pattern. From what I know if your gonna put a vtec pan on nonvtec you gotta get the vtec pickup. Then again this is what i heard and not factual from me. Sorry, but could be right--then again maybe not.

holes line up, but the pick up is different, as is the baffling. The pickup reaches down further, to clear the main cap girdle the gsr has, but B16a does not. Just get a b16 pan

b16a and b18a/b are the same but b18c are not.
b18c oil pan's are deeper to compensate for the baffle and block gridle.

trust me on this, i was sent a b16 oil pan and when i went to install it on my b18c, it was too shallow, but the holes seems to line up.

so if you're using a b18c oil pan on a b16a, you WILL need the b18c's oil pickup.

i will use the B18C pan and pick up then. thanks for all the info. should everything bolt in okay with no mods to the pick up then? i'm just pulling off what i can from my B18C1 cause i bought a b16 shorty with no pan.

If you are doing that you might as well get the girdle. Basically swap everything below the main caps.
