Default BRAKE LIGHTS STUCK ON.

I HAVE AN 88 CRX WITH 225,000 MILES. THE CAR SAT FOR 1 YEAR. 1. WHEN I REPLACED THE BATTERY, THE OLD BATTERY HAD A YELLOWISH POWDER AROUND IT. WHAT CAUSED THIS? 2. I GOT THE CAR STARTED BUT NOW,EVEN WITH NO KEY IN THE IGNITION, THE BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ON ALL THE TIME. I HAVE TO UNHOOK THE BATTERY WHEN I PARK?? ANY HELP? 3.WHAT YR. INTEGRA CAN I SWAP REAR DISK BRAKES WITH? 4. IM LOOKING FOR A STR8 ENGINE SWAP FOR MY 88. LOOKING FOR 180-200 HP. WHERE DO I START AND WHAT WILL BE AN APROX. PRICE ON THIS. THANKS FOR THE HELP! WHERE IN S.FLORIDA CAN I GET AN ENGINE SWAP DONE RIGHT?? IM IN OAKLAND PARK.

Let's break it down now.

1. [Anchorman]LOOOOOUUUUDDD NOOOOIIIISESSSSS[/Anchorman]

2. I'm guessing that if a car sat for a year, ground cables rusted and switches faulted. Get a multimeter and check. Good luck.

3. Batteries go bad after a while. It's just acid.

3.5. The only DOHC that bolts directly in is the ZC, with 130 HP. You could boost that to high heaven, but I don't recommend it.

4. 200 HP is hard to come by. The h22 has it, but isn't "str8". Don't know what that means; I don't speak "Hood". A b18a turbo would be your best bet, as it has low compression, and I estimate cost would be around $3500 after all is done. H22 has fitment problems and hasn't been done as many times as the b18.

5. That cost is if you do it yourself. If a shop is doing it, you're looking at like $7000.

2. Brake light switch probably is the culprit.
3. 90-00, but find some crx ones i guess???
4. A straight 8? Hmm, that's going to take a lot for it to fit, and I'd sure hope it'd have more than 200hp for 8 cylinders.

Approx. price? ha, contact lhtperformance.com but turn off the caps lock before you email them

On your brake lights staying on-contrary to the popular believe it's the brake light switch-I doubt it.Get in look under your dash with a light.Follow the brake pedal up till you see the switch that hits it(when you depress the pedal).OK,now I bet all you see is an empty hole on the brake pedal arm that is suppose to hit the brake light switch.Honda made the peice out of plastic-they break, thus nothing to shut the lights off.You can still buy a replacement fron the dealer-or you can install a nut and bolt with a little finasse, lol.

I ALWAYZ GLU A PENNY ON DA BREAK LITE SWITCH TO MAKES IT INGUAGE MORE... Oh sorry my ghetto key was stuck on. But the penny trick will work, although I believe there is an adjustment on the switch to bring it out a little. The rest of the questions are pointless because I doubt this guy is going to do anything past turning off the brakelights.

Lil red is right, this has happened on both my rexs. You could go the ghetto way like iskate (i've done that too) but just go to the dealer and tell them you need that plastic nipple that makes yours brake lights turn off. Its like 3 bucks
