Which side of the radio is the serial number?

I need it to get the anti-theft code for my gf's car, and I dont wanna tear everything apart, or pay $50 for a dealership to do it. thanks

i think the dealerships do it for free, they just run the vin code i think. Oh and it's located on the back or top of the cd player.

vin# only works if you go to the dealer that the car was acutally purchased at... and the serial # is on the bottom of the deck.
