Default "cat back" ??? I have found "NOTHING BACK" is much better and CHEAPER

what i am about to say might sound unorthodox but read on .your asking for the best sounding exhaust? best performance.... try cutting off your muffler or in my case i cut off both mufflers, splitting off into a y and go back with straight pipes with no mufflers at all!!! my tips are chrome 3" tubes about 18" long and it sounds great !!!!!!!!! the 3" tubes gives a deep tone. totally unrestricted and i did it with my v6 3.8 chevy monte carlo. back pressure u ask? between the catalytic converter and the resonator thats pleanty of restriction. AT FIrST I WAS WORRIED IT WOULD BE to loud but it isn't to loud, you sure can here me coming , but it sounds great !!!! and its cheap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no big ugly silver cans hanging off the back , just 2 3" tubes straight back !!! deep throaty sound.i couldn't not hearing my motor....... my son will be doing the same thing to his 97 accord ex when we get done with the body kit and paint job. if my 200hp chevy 3.8 isn't to loud theres no way a 2.2 honda will be louder.I think is rice burner will sound GREAT !!!!! CAT BACK ? forget it ...NOTHING BACK is the best way )) try it you'll like it

I've heard Hondas with the mufflers disconnected, and I've even heard a few with just a straight pipe. You want to know my opinion on all of them? They sounded like CRAP.

AccidentproWn and ericjackson are right... this idea is gay.

Have you Heard a V6 with no mufflers? They dont sound Ricey at all. I had mine disconnected from the shop and drove home with it to put on my axle backs cuz they wanted $40 a muffler for install.

wtf? anything less than a v8 will probly sound like ****. no matter what you "tune it to" or whatever the hell you do with your pipes. and some of these "fart cans" that you hear are ricers that got their exhaust from autozone. most quality **** does sound good. and deep.... YOUNGSTERS? what are you like 50." welp, back in tha 70's me and my click used to put straight pipes on our 'solid' rides. we used to cruise the strip and hollar at purdy women. yep.." and where is the place that you can get your straight pipes tuned. how much does this cost. is it similar to tuning a guitar or piano???

Well no one ever said that. Most the Accord guys that are into function over form use like Apex'i WS or whatever its called. Personally I have stock exhaust and I'll be going with a straight pipe when I go turbo.

PS you're an idiot.

I unbolted my muffler once. I did it at the drag strip to help my times though. I would never drive it on the street like that, it was too damn loud.

However, my friend has an integra and he did the same thing. It wasn't as loud as my accord, but it just sounded like a regular old fartcan.

It was deeper than I thought. I didnt really smash on it cuz i was scared my hanging mufflers were gonna fall off on the e-way. I swapped them out for HKS Super Draggers(axle backs) and they sound almost alike.

idiots...I dont know about you guys...but i want my catback to sound like a stock exhaust. The only exhaust I've heard that are quiet as hell are brand new Greddy SP and Apexi WS. They get loud over time.

Exactly! I'm not all about drawing attention to my car. Anybody driving a loud honda can probably verify that it also draws all sorts of unwanted attention (i.e. cops)

I had a friend run a straight header once on his accord, the noise that car made easily dominated over any v8 straight pipe exhaust I've ever heard. It was the loudest, most annoying car on the streets for half a day.

Your son drives a nicer car than you.
His car is also faster now that he has a body kit.
