need help with vtec problem

Default need help with vtec problem

i have a b18c1 and every time i get to 5500 my vtec goes on and it feels like it lags and it feels like it turns off and on again and it does that every gear does anyone know what the problem is?

vss maybe? check oil? is the motor cold or wormed up to temp when it happens?

any check engine lights? in what car, is it swaped or is it in a teg?

and what ecu do you have.

if you have a stoke ecu(p72) v-tec is at 4400rpm! runner change over at 6200rpm with stock intake manifold.

its a 95 civic coupe with a 2000 bi8c1 and it happens wen the car is worm but i do need to change the oil and i have a vtec controller and it is set to 5500
Wats vss?

check the v-tec controler wiring one more time, did this start after you put that in?

i bought the car like that but it never did that before i might take it to the shop and let them check it out
