After too long of a wait and lots of research later the ol B18c has arrived. Here are a few pics:

The free gsr head from a warranty claim at work(gotta love workin at the dealer)

My plans are basically an OEM rebuild, bore, hone the usual with O.S. p30s. I havent thought about cams yet but I'm really leaning toward staying OEM with everything internal just to prove the potential it has. Suggestions/comments welcome. TIA
BTW I need a few parts that didnt come with the block
-water pipe(from water pump to t stat housing)
-crank pulley
-t stat housing
Im sure there will be more but till then enjoy the pics. TIA

I've got a water pipe and thermostat housing/thermostat you can have at the expense of shipping if you can use (and don't mind using) OBD-1 parts.
The OBD-1 water pipe is a plus if you want to run an OEM oil cooler and the stock P72 intake manifold.
The OBD-1 thermostat housing, I'm not a big fan of, since it has an extra coolant port that I find redundant (as did Honda when they changed it on OBD-2 motors).

Actually Im just using the GSR head for the LMA's and the intake valve springs. The B16 head thats in my car now will be bolted to this GSR block.

I'm doin the same setup you are. I am using a 95 gsr block and a 99 b16a2 head. I honed it and put a set of p30 pistons in, tomorrow my arp head studs should arrive. I'm goin to pull the head of mine this weekend finish buildin it and swap it in before sunday. For now i'm goin to use the gsr cams but i want to upgrade to the itr valvetrain and cams or a set of skunk 2s
Heres a pic of mine, sorry bout the size

Glad to hear that your buildup is going well. Im a bit torn whether or not to use ARP head studs. I havent really researched much on that yet, but there will be plenty of time for that. Im hoping for about 175-185 or so whp give or take. Hit me up and let me know how it goes.
i would use the arp studs, i don't want to risk leaks, might as well do it right the first time. My problem is i don't know if stock 240cc injectors and a vafc will be enough for high fuel need with the extra compression

Don't mean to be a dick, that hone looks like ***. I thought it was supposed to be crosshacth pattern? Did you measure it at the end?

actually it is, its just really hard to see because of the flash of the camera. I recently built rebuilt a motor for a 3000gt vr4, i used the same technique and it worked just fine

Everything is torn down, now I have to find a good machinist. Rjay I sent you a PM. Hopefully things will start going together sooner than later. I cant wait to make some REAL power with all OEM parts.
Thanks for the comments everyone.
