Default Bought a new CRX project

Im back in the auto - manual business

1990 CRX DX AUTO - $600

only rust is on the one rear 1/4 which is only surface, otherwise the car is quite clean and just needs a fender and carbon fiber hood instead of painting an oem hood .

on my way back my tranny blew in my current CRX...tranny swap tommorow...

For a NJ car that rust is not bad at all..but hurry up and fix it before it spreads..
Good luck with it..

What are your plans for it..??

heres my situation

currently drive a 88 dx 5speed with Y8, and blown si tranny as of tonight.

Swapping in spare tranny tommorow...hopefully.

In order to get this bitch to pass inspection, Im gonna pull everything out (A/C, motor, tranny, auto shift linkage, etc) convert it to mpfi and stick while its all empty, and drop in my old running DX motor. Drive like that for a while, and pick off my old car for suspension and ****.

In the end, this car will be dropped with tokico illumina adjustables, new set of coilovers on either LS MESH rims or 91 CRX SI rims.

Hopefully Carbon Fiber hood even though im not a fan, lemme know if anyone is selling one cheap. Only becasue i dont feel like painting the red hood thats on it. Replace the one fender, and ill have a basically straight body, just need some sanding and touch-up.

While im driving the DX setup, im gonna build my Y8, D16A1 pistons, 2layer head gasket, zex stage 2 cam, and skunk2 adj cam gear.

Theres too much to list here, its gonna be a project and a half, but i am already in love with the color, and it fricking has the stock tape player and EQUALIZER!!! you dont see them often.

Hope to have it running DX MPFI by the end of Christmas Break. Wish me luck.
