Default Clutch problems

Symptoms: Hard to engage in first gear. Transmission feels notchy. Engagement point of clutch seems very low (need to push pedal way down). Many times need to push clutch pedal in multiple times to get it in gear.

Any ideas what the problem is? The clutch grabs fine so I am reluctant ro replace the whole clutch setup since the friction disc seems good.

Could this problem be fixed by bleeding/flushing the clutch mc?

Car has about 45K miles and has had the tranny fluid replaced at 25K miles.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Try bleeding the clutch fluid.
