Default Stumped about which engine to drop in ?

I've searched for ever now and still dont know which engine is better. some people say that vtec is a must but when you look at the torque there barely is any and then some others say that the ls is the way to go. that engine has great torque for the amount of power it has and is way cheaper. for example if you put cams and a flywheel your probebly close to getting 180hp at the flywheel. on the other hand the vtec already has that power but you gotta rev it up to make the power and the ls block doesn't have to rev as much as a vtec to get your power. If anyone can help me out and give me their opinions and suggestions will be greatly appreciated thanks.

Depends how much power you want. If you are content with 180 whp then you can do a good LS build. BTW, cams and a flywheel on an LS are not going to give 180 at the flywheel. That's a 40 hp increase...

If you're shooting for over 200 whp you pretty much need a VTEC b-series.

And of course the K-series is superior in every way to the B-series motor but it takes a good amount of cash at this point to run one.
