D16Z6 head??

Default D16Z6 head??

how can i tell if the head i got is a Z6 or not the guy i got it from has lied to me on a lot of other **** so i am just wondering if there is casting numbers or marks anywhere also if the B7 valve cover bolts and head bolts will work with this Z6 thanks

You might be able to pick out the VTEC solenoid.

look at the cam and see if there is another lobe between the two intake valves and rockers that should give you your answer. good luck

The rockers of off the Z6 head are different than from a Y8 head.

p08 is stamped on the head casting if it is a z6 head.

Yep. P08 also denotes the JDM D15B head. The VX head is cast P07. The B7 valve cover bolts will not work, and I am not sure about the head bolts. You could sit the head on the block, and if you place the bolts into the head, and there is about 1" of bolt sticking up before tightening, they should be fine. If there is less than 1", or they start to bind during tightening, stop immediately and get the proper bolts.

good news for me it is a Z6 head so i guess the intake he sent along with was a Z6 as well i guess so as soon as i get some time and money for a belt and a water pump i guess its mini me time
