no b18b has better cams. So in a sense it has a better flowing head, but IM's are the same. everything else is the same aside from coolant sensor location.

from visual apperance the intake mainfold is different ..... just looks like a better design but it might not flow any better who knows. pretty much the b18b gets its extra hp from the from the cams i guess.

90-91 130 Flywheel HP/121tq @ 6000rpm..0bd0
92-93 140 Flywheel HP/127tq @ 6300rpm..0bd1..
94-01 142 Flywheel HP/127tq @ 6300rpm..0bd1/0bd2

92-93 has more aggressive cams then 90-91..
94-01 is the same as 92-93 but has a better intake manifold then 92-93..and adds a whopping 2hp

Because the B18B is newer is does have slightly better cams, but the head is the same. The intake manifold is suposed to be a slightly higher flow design making it slightly better than the one found on the B18A.

Otherwise the engine are the same, not including electronics.

that is about the biggest difference, just the price.

Not true about the head and intake manifold. The B18B head has larger intake ports as well as a better manifold.

Not so fast. The 1992-1993 LS only has 121ft-lb torque (like the 1990-1991). Only the 1994-1995 LS has 127ft-lb torque. So the new head and intake manifold may only be getting you 2HP. Bt it's also getting you 6ft-lb torque. Also, the 1994-1995 B18B is known to respond better to mods (since it isn't as limited by the head). But in 1996 and later B18B motors, power went back down to 140HP and torque went down to 124ft-lb due to OBDII. Hwever, the motor is the same. And using the older EC should get you the power back.
