i have a 99 hx with inake exhaust cam gear an the underdrive pulley. i have a 60mm throttle body wit the manifold bored out... im looking to go natural aspirated so no FORCED INDUCTION...

Also, what manifold do you have? Get d16y8 IM if you dont already have one.

 

i have the y5 manifold but i bored it out to 60mm. would it be better to get the y8 an bore it out to fit my tb

heard the y8 flows better than the y5, but just get a skunk2 IM, and yeah an ex tranny...btw are there any difference in gear ratios from a z6 tranny, and a y8 tranny?

 

HOW MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE WILL I FEEL WITH THE EX TRANNY MAN

 

a whole lot, compared to the longer gears of the hx. You should get the y8 Intake manifold, maybe get you a y8 head and put it on your block. new ecu and harness if you do the mini me. Your not gonna get much out of your hx. for right now, do the tranny. 300$ at the most. (get it from the classifieds.)

I JUST GOT A DEAL ON THE FULL DRAG GEN TURBO KIT FOR 600 SO IM NOW THINKING THAT BUT WHO KNOWS WHAT I GOT PLANNED NEXT FOR THE HX. MY CARS ALREADY FASTER THAN THE EX I GOT MINIMAL WORK DONE TO THE MOTOR AN SOME BIG A$$ 18" CHROME THATS BOUT TO GET TAKIN OFF SO ILL SEE. YOU KNOW ANYONE SELLING SOME HX WHEELS??? I BEEN LOOKING FOR WEEKS NOW AN CANT FIND NONE. LET ME KNOW MAN THANKS

for $600 Im sure its been beating with more than a stick...if not the seller is on crack.

If it were me, for the money to power and potential ratio...I would have to say a DOHC swap like a b16 or b18.

 

if ya wanna do N/A and ya want the best intke out there try to find a individual throttle body racing head. insta kick *** if ya know what i mean but the price will kick ya in the ***. not sure how much exactlybut im sure its up there. good luck with whatever decide.
