Default B16 Head - GSR Block, Use B16 HeadStuds? Re-Use ARPs?

I'm switching my shortblock over the a B18C1, I currently run a B16A with ARP Headstuds. I think that with the B16 Head I'll have to use B16 Headstuds because the GSR ones would be too long, but I'm not sure. Is it difficult to uninstall headstuds from the block, and since they are ARPs can they be re-used?

Yes you can reuse them but why would you need to take them out.. As long as your block is clean then you dont need to scrap the head or anything.. You can just remove the old head and head gasket and put the new head gasket and head back on it.. Just leave the studs there..

you CANNOT use B16 head bolts/ head studs on a 1.8 bottom end

you must use GSR/ITR head bolts/ head studs

Yep. Headstuds should match up to the block your using.

deck height is different on the two blocks, hence the reason for different bolts/studs.

So I need to buy GSR Headstuds then... I always thought it was the other way, so thanks everyone.

B16 Head + GSR Block = GSR Head Studs
