For my D16Z6 head i got a new ZEX camshaft, do i just unbolt everything, take the old one out and throw the new one in then bolt everything back up or do i need to note things like torque or specs?

 

You need the tourque specs, sequence...along with a little bit of bearing guard or some kind of engine assembly lube

Also need to do a valve adjustment!

 

can i do all these things myself, or what tools do i need, and how do i know how to adjust the valves

If you have to ask these questions, you shouldn't be installing a cam IMO.

I wasn't going to say it, but its true

Not thats its a bad thing, you have to leanr somewhere...good thing you asked first

BTW....valve adjustment is not hard, search for it, you will find good info

 

make sure you know how to locate TDC on crank and cam!
