Default d16z6 ticking question

im almost 100% sure that the valves need to be adjusted, but i have a question for you guys as ive never dealt with this.

the head on the egine has been milled .001

i was wandering, when doing a valve adjustment, if that amount would make any difference. should i adjust the valves with the .001 in mind?

i know that number doesnt seem like much, but can NEVER be too careful

well iwould assume since there is .001 milled off the head that the valves would be .001 closer to the pistons and therefor i would have to adjust my valves accordingly.

but i wanted to make sure.

so if <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by G2 Speed &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">did u just answer your own questions with in it self </TD></TR></TABLE>

means im correct please just say so

It could also be the injectors, they're going to tick regardless.

yeah, but this is a valve, i know the difference, learned that from my old accord.

the injecters NEVER got this loud.

besides, could never hurt to give a valve adjustment

you are talking about such a small amount its not going to make any difference. With the d16 valve adjustment make a huge difference in the way the car runs and the amount of valve train noise.
