Default ECU GURUS -- GET IN HERE! something fishy is afoot..

ok, so i chipped my p28 and programmed the chip in uberdata with a redline of 7500. i was recently having a **** load of problems with my iacv so i cut jumper J1, which should have bypassed the chip and made the computer run like stock. And voila! no more iacv problems. the car idled like a champ, etc etc. i ran it up to redline the other day and something odd happened... no redline until 7500 rpm.

how is that possible?

the tach was at an indicated 7800-7900... the same as it was when i was "running" the chip. when it was stock, it would barely make it to an indicated 7400

Are you by chance running an obd2 motor with an obd1 ecu? If so, that is the cause of your idle problems, adjust the slider in uberdata all the way down to -50 and it should work much better.

7400 is stock for a p28 while in vtec... So if you only set it to 7500 in the chip you should be seeing the rev limit 100rpm lower than you did with the chip...
