Problems at 6800 - 7000 rpm
Just recently got a lsv civic with problems, basically a stock lsv. Runs perfect but when you hit 6800-7000k rpm it hits like a rev limiter. I have changed out dizzys and ecus and no change. The tach seems to work perfect and the vtec and everything show up correct on the tach. Its my friends old car and he says it worked perfect all the way to 8500 then he sold it to a guy i got it from and and now this problem. From what i can tell the guy only took out the vafc but ive checked all the ecu wires and can not find any loose or cut wires. The car throws no check lights, i fixed the only two it had. If anyone has any ideas or thoughts please lmk.

no it was all wired since my friend bought it years ago. Its actually wired with obd2 engine harness. Was done at a shop years ago and looks factory. But the harness has always worked perfect

UPDATE: Still nothing, ive tried full lines, fuel rail, injectors, checked all my wires were soldered, two dizzys two ecus, swapped cluster out, plugs and wires, all sensors, added grounds to it and checked all fluids. Idk what else to try i even checkd my timing. Car pulls hard just hits a limiter at 7k rpm. I recently hear the car had a msd setup and had a rev limit in it but the dude sold all that, think the dude cold of rewired wring?
