91 Civ hatch...1.5 overhaul...whats involved?
I'm in the process of completely rebuilding a 1.5 to put back in a hatch. block is done, what head work has got to be done, cleaned, refaced, etc. in order to complete the overhaul?
Just building back to stock?
Have a machine shop check for flat level surface / magnaflux the head. Also make sure you don't have any bent valves and you might want to put in new valve guides and seals.

I've got a 16 valve D15B2...I've priced new guides and seals for the entire head at about $115. Labor for installing, magnafluxing, and checking for bent valves will probably be another $100-$200 [I'm guessing], depending on what shop you go to.
on my d16a6 i got the head resurfaced, 4 new valves( all the others were good, stupid 2nd cylinder) a 3 angle valve job and the put everything back together i just had to adjust the valves for $225. but i did supply the stem seals
