Default type r head

I have a 99 civic si. How much would i gain by installing a integra type r head complete?

Virtually nothing because your Si has the exact same head on it minus some minor porting and better cams.

For the money you'd pay for an ITR head, and the time for you to swap it out, you could get your B16 p/p'd and add an ITR intake cam and see better gains, with more potential for power with future upgrades.

Im in the process of the exact set-up...
I already have the ITR intake mani and throttle body on my B16, made a Very noticable diff.
Picking up a GSR block tommorow and ordering ITR cams new from work (Acura)

Should be a good set-up

A friend of mine had just the gsr block with a stock b16 head and his
car pulled Hard


so basically to answer your question

GSR bottom ends go for about 800.
Whatever you do don't use b16 valvetrain with Type R cams.

I just picked it up today, got it for $500. ( took me over about 2 months to find it )
its a 95 and i got a copy of title with it Very very clean

Also...what head gasket would be recomended for a gsr block with b16 head???
