idle problem
i have a b16a1 in a 89 crx hf, went the car is cold and i go to crank it it starts up and then the idle shoots up to 2000 rpm somtimes 2 1/4, and when the thermostat opens it goes to 1500 rpm what could be the problem? help will be appreciated
See #14 that is the cold idle control valve. I just fixed mine this weekend.
Take that sucker off(3-10mm bolts) and unbolt the back plate (2-8mm bolts), clean the inside and tighten the white piece all the way down.
The pic above shows that it's on the TB cause it's an OBD1 pic, but on the OBD0 cars it's on the IM.

it would help a little bit.. try cleaning your tb too.. with some throttle body air cleaner
mine idled bad before, but when i replaced the pcv valve the idle went a little smoother than before
