Running a VTEC Engine with TurboEdit. An OBD0 guide to 1-Wire VTEC.
http://www.xenocron.com/te/tur...o.htm
I've been seeing a lot of questions about VTEC control on the forums that TurboEdit is more popular on so I made this write-up. I know this program isn't highly popular in H-T but I hope this can shed some positive light on another freeware program that many DIYers use and maybe increase its exposure.

You need to sell the PW0 for some change and find a PS9 ECU and then follow this write-up.
But only do this if you plan on boosting. Run the PW0 ECU if you are staying N/A unless you want the full throttle launch feature or to change your rev limits.

Im already boosted and runing the hack with 450 dsm's at the moment. So the ps9 ecu will work on the ukdm cars provided i do the vtec one wire trick?
I dont see why it wouldnt...im not totally up on the ins/outs of UKDM cars. They have the same plugs and the wiring harness should be the same. Im not sure the emissions controls were the same so you might have to add an 02 sensor if you arent already running one. That would be the only thing I could think of...

Pimpy, easy to read, and with pictures for short attention span asshats like myself.
What are you TE guys doing to get good RPM vs MAP vs wideband logs to tune by?

I'm in process of rewriting the datalogging code with the hope of making it more useful.
Also, I have a pre-alpha version of code that incorporates independent tables and increased resolution for the vtec cam. Don't own a CRX anymore so testing is proving difficult, but I will get around to it soon, promise.

thanks for the write up, gives me renewed faith to wait a little longer instead of making a jump to obd1, guess i will buy a wideband instead of a obd1 conversion and try to do this turbo edit on my own!
Personally thinking of forcing Craig Moates to take my Ostrich in trade for an AutoPROM. It's Ostrich, BURN1, and datalogger built into one unit. (Datalogging software interface still not available, but hardware is there....) Would make a nice addition for tuning stuff that isn't as nicely packaged as Ubercrap currently is... I have visions of creating TunerPro RT .ecu profile for the turbo Justy, and the Nissan stuffs I'm being forced into, with Quality datalogs to rely on in the same package.
Oh, yeah, I actually have money in my pocket to ship your manifold, which has been languishing in a box with your address on it for weeks now. I suck.

J. I know you might find this useful, but I was *attempting* for a while to capture data with my LM-1 and importing the log files to an Excel spreadsheet/VBA app that averaged them and placed them into Cells on a sheet.
It worked halfway decent although the LM-1 wasnt seeing the same data the ECU was seeing...so the visual graphs helped more than anything really.
its on my programs page if you care to check it out. i worked well in theory
