Question about aftermarket/custom exhaust

Question about aftermarket/custom exhaust
Since i got my custom exhaust done at the muffler shop whenever i shift gears i get this 'farting' noise. i was wondering what causes it and how can i stop it from happening?

yeahh.. its pretty damn annoying... no way to stop it? does this happen to custom exhausts only or to company exhausts too?

i've actually experienced both types of exhausts, custom and company made, and both had their own amont of backfire. the hks hiper system i was running had a more noticeable backfire though. with the custom setup, it's still there but not as loud and/or as often.
