Default electrical oil pressure gauge question..

my oil light on my 98 prelude is on and doesn't shut off..i have hooked up a mechanical oil pressure guage and i am getting oil pressure (i don't feel comfortable with this gauge because i have heard if the line slipping and motors dumping like 3 quarts of oil out)...but anyways i changed my oil pressure sending unit to a new one and the light still won't go out...must be a ground problem..

my question is will the electrical one work even with the oil pressure sending units electrical messed up? or can i get and eletrical oil pressure signal from a different wire??/

an electrical op gauge will come with its own sending unit, so u will remove the stock one connected to the idiot light and put in the other sending unit, then u will run the wire from there straight to the gauge wherever u have it set up, i also have a mechanical gauge that i do not have connected because i fear it coming out...i only use it when i think theres a problem which sucks...
