Default jun3 camed h22 dyno

i posted this in NA, but i figured you people that only post here would like to see this as well

this motor is basicly the same as the one that we did the cam test on, with the exception of new valves cause all the exh valves were bent when we dyno'd the other cams, and it has jun stage 3 cams, it still has stock block and other than new valves a stock head

the red line was base line done on a previous tune, green was after cam gear tuning (only on the intake side) and swapping from a dookie 2.5 inch accord aem cai and 58mm throttle body to a semi getto 3inch intake and 68mm throttle body

getto 3inch intake
68mm tb
euro r intake manifold
stock head with ferrea valves
rocket springs/retainers
jun3 cams
one hayame cam gear on the intake side, stock gear on the exh
and to top it all off a ebay weapon r header with the collector loped off and 2.5 inch pipe welded on
all tuned by me with an aem ems

this is the same motor we tested the rocket regrinds on, just that all the exh valves were bent when we did that test... here is the link to that thread. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1017085

EDIT: i probably should mention that this was done open header as well

217 is real nice. Once again Jun Cams seem to make some real nice top-end power.

Why does it say "flywheel" for the graph?? 217 at the flywheel is attainable with just regular bolt-ons. That normally makes it like 180-190-ish at the wheels .......

217 at the wheels would be quite nice!

thats a quirk in dynapack software... they always say "flywheel power"

see the TCF number at the bottom, thats transmision correction factor, if you set that to 1.15 then it will compensate for a 15% loss in power through the tranny... thus it becomes flywheel power.. set it to 1.00 for actuall numbers.

prelittlelude.. im on aim most of the time.. feel free to IM me.

Do you think that motor will have any problems running the JUN stage III's with the rocket valve springs/retainers? Because JUN clearly states that the stage III's can only be used with their own JUN valve springs and retainers, but I have a hard time believing that. And maybe I just can't bring myself to spend almost $1K on valvetrain components

well, the iacv wont fit in the civic w/the euro r manifold, so we have a big vac leak to make it idle.. when its cold its a very lumpy 800-900 rpm idle, once it gets warm its a smooth but slighly lumpy sounding 1300-1400

I didn't think JUN did the stage III for the H22. I heard they only go to Stage 2.

how much of a difference in tuning do you think the AEM has in a situation like this? as compared with running a stock Honda H22 ECU?

Nice numbers. Why do people think that 200 WHP is so hard to achive? What kind of h22? Is there anything else done to your engine or exhuast?

Why is the torque curve funky looking like that. You guys have any graphs of the A/F and what ECU were you using?! Stock injectors?

the tq curve looks funny b/c of the scale.. look how small it is. on a dyno jet it would be smooth. that and the weapon r header always produces some wavyness.

it has aem ems and 750cc injectors

i listed the setup... reading is key.

stock h22 ecu sucks.. even with type s cams we picked up over 10hp through just tuning. this setup probably wouldnt run with a stock ecu. back in the day when we had type s cams, it went really lean in vtec... im sure it would be an even worse situation with this setup.

jun only makes stage 3 for h22.. .

Unfortunatly ive blown to much money to retune, gotta wait till after xmas, damn presents. I baselined at 190 untuned with full exhaust and stock intake manifold and stock clutch/flywheel with a crappy AEM filter. Oh also i had no cam gears at the time, now i got me some STR's my fingers are crossed for the new graph.
