Default turbo size for a 2.0l non vtec

alright heres my set up. i have a b18b1 sleeved with darton closed deck sleeves bored to 84mm running a stock crank new toga bearings, arias pistons 9.0:1 compression along with eagle rods. the head is based on all crower parts. valves, valve springs, retainers, valve guides and turbo regrind cams. fuel i have a walbro 255 fuel pump and aem fuel rail fuel pressure regulator and 880 cc injectors. running on a hondata system. my manifold is a neukin ram style manifold. right now i am running a t3 exaust is ar .48 and intake is 60 trim. i want to run more most that what this will let me. i am trying to run say 15 daily which is my max right now. and then 25 when i race. i want to get a garrett super 70 but i am thinking that may be alittle to big give me some info please on what i should run

How many whp you want to do?
What kind of powerband do you want?

You can run 25 psi with your t3 if it all you want....

the t70 i am looking at has a ar .84 and a compressor housing ar of .70
no i have also found another t04 that has a ar .50 and a compressor housing of ar .70. which one of theses would be able to make 500 + whp at like 25 lbs of boost. give me some help please power band from around 4 to 5 up to 8500

They clean up nicely though. Hint: buy used for pennies, then fix.


2.0 LS, Darton closed deck sleeves, Eagles, Crower stuffs up top... the only other LS like that I know of runs a Holset HX35 to good effect. Good luck fitting it to your existing turbo manifold though.

Yes. they are truely awfully designed turbos. They are supposedly Garrett "SPEC", not a Garrett product. I've been designing setups and turbos for years, and I wouldn't wish that thing on my worst enemy
